Advice for young women – and men?

I heard May you always by Joan Regan (1959) on the radio one Saturday afternoon. I loved it but thought I could do a better job on the lyrics so here’s my updated version:

May you always trust your instincts,
Live your life the way you want.
May you know the only answers
Are the ones found in your heart.

May you always see your beauty:
Never doubt, hate or compare.
May you cherish your wondrous body
And the power that lies in there.

May you know that true love finds you
So it is not your only goal.
May single be as good as double.
Love only those that are pure gold.

May sex always be amazing:
Don’t be a martyr or a fool.
May you always be safe and sober.
Certain is the golden rule.

May you know the only answers
Are the ones found in your heart….
