I stand skin and bone against blanched skies.tree
I am shaken,
I am drenched then
I am frozen solid.
Some mock me,
Call me unloved.
But others know I’m still beautiful.
It’s them I’m starting to believe.

And this so soon after fertility, abundance and
the gifting of the most exquisite gown.
I was waltzed,
I was quenched then.
Warm, I meditated.
All praised me,
Called me beloved
Until the pendant swung
And the insidious cycle continued…

Again:

I stand skin and bone against blanched skies.
I am shaken,
I am drenched then
I am frozen solid.
Some mock me,
Call me unloved
But
I’m taller now and stronger.

As long as I’m alive I’ll thrive.
As long as I’m alive, I am always beautiful.
