Where the light is golden,Summer Beach
And the seas glitter.
Where seagulls are soaring eagles
And mere mortals: Bronzed Gods!

We are worshipped by the Sun
And it warms, it warms, it adores us.
It cloaks us in its velvet embrace.
With hearts soothed almost to stillness,
Eyes filled with unbroken, ultramarine blue skies,
We dream through the nights and float through the daze.

Inspired by my recent holiday to Benidorm and posted in response to The Daily Post’s one word prompt: Summer.
