2014 – 2017: The blogging years
When I started this blog, I was single and living near Brighton away from friends and family. I had only myself to organise and all the time in the world to write. I had time to contemplate and reflect and appreciate. Inspiration for blog posts came easily. The time I spent living in Lancing was a gift. It was time for me to reconnect with my writing and reconnect with myself. Most of the blog posts you’ll read here were written during this time.
Once I’d moved back to Birmingham, the blogging slowed down and eventually stopped. I’m not single anymore, I’m surrounded by family and there’s responsibilities that come with that. Now in 2020, all the time I have to write is dedicated to playwriting. I’m not going to kid myself that I’m going to start blogging again anytime soon.
I am going to leave this blog up however because I love all of these posts and I put a lot of creative energy into them. These posts remind me of a very special and precious time in my life and although they are not current, I hope they’re still relevant and will remain so for some time to come.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading the writing on this blog as much I enjoyed creating it.
